Bio

Annie Fajardo is an artist in Los Angeles. Her work embodies a folk-inspired tone, while blending elements of mysticism and nature. Her vision has a spiritual presence throughout her creations. Each piece touches on a story or ritual inspired by her community. Through growing up in Brooklyn,NY and attending School of Visual Arts, she honed her craft as a painter. It was only later in life when things actually made perfect sense in to why she felt a sense of belonging in her art.

Her being raised by her loving and supportive adoptive mother, Annie struggled to feel a sense of authentic belonging. Through her art, she discovered a way to connect in a transformative way. Only after the meeting of their birth mother and family, did it reaffirm that she was on the right path in her creativity. Discovering that being an artist was in her roots. Baring witness to her families artistic expression, she became whole. The art she was longing to create would now just flow freely and confidently. She was raised in one world and discovered she belonged to another, her art is how she straddle them both and brought out the unique world inside herself.
